The CELPIP General test has 20 task types across four sections. Below is one complete worked example for each — the prompt, the questions, the correct answers and why the other options fail. For Writing and Speaking, the same prompt is answered at CLB 5, 7, 9 and 11 so the levels are legible rather than abstract. No account is needed to read any of it.

9 of 11 correct. Both misses are the same kind of question: the answer is implied, not stated, and the chosen option repeated words from the letter.

What to improve first
  1. Before choosing, find the sentence that proves the answer; if the option only repeats words from the text, check it twice.
  2. In the reply blanks, read the whole sentence around the gap — the tone of the reply decides the word.

What is the difference between a CELPIP practice test and a mock test?

A practice test here is one task or part at a time, marked as soon as you finish, so you can work on one weakness. A mock test is the whole CELPIP-General sitting — all four sections back to back on the clock — and ends with a full score report.
