Writing is the section holding the overall level at 8. Both answers are on task and the right length; Readability is lowest because the email runs its request and its closing together in one paragraph and joins clauses with commas.

What to improve first

Give the email one paragraph per job: why you are writing, the problem, what you want, the close.
